German-born Ghanaian centre-back King Manu has returned to his parent club Fortuna Düsseldorf following the end of his loan stint with Hansa Rostock in the 2024/25 season.
The 21-year-old defender, who joined Hansa Rostock on a season-long loan from the 2. Bundesliga side last summer, made 18 appearances in all competitions during his time with the third-tier outfit.
Hansa Rostock officially confirmed Manu’s departure, along with fellow loanee Sima Suso, through a statement on their website:
“Also no longer part of the squad will be the two loan players King Manu and Sima Suso, who will return to their parent clubs after the end of their engagements on June 30, 2025.”
“King Manu arrived on loan from second-division club Fortuna Düsseldorf in the summer of 2024. The 21-year-old defender made 18 competitive appearances for the Kogge this season.”
Manu, who is a former Borussia Mönchengladbach academy product, is expected to rejoin Fortuna Düsseldorf as the club prepares for the upcoming season in Germany’s second division.
