Coach Kim Lars Bjorkrgren has named a 21-player squad for the Black Queens’ 9-day training tour in Senegal, as Ghana steps up preparations for the 15th edition of the African Women’s Cup of Nations.
As part of their preparations, the team will compete in two international friendlies against Senegal’s Teranga Lionesses in Dakar.
The first match is scheduled for April 5, and the second match will take place on April 8.
The squad has undergone some changes, with new additions including Hasaacas’ Ladies goalkeeper Grace Banwa, Police Ladies’ Philicity Asuako, Ernestina Abambila of Eto Gyors, and Patience Peterson Kundok.
However, Safiatu Salifu, Comfort Yeboah, Grace Asantewaa, Stella Nyamekye, Alice Kusi, and Adama Alhassan are missing from the squad .
The Black Queens are making a return to the women’s AFCON after missing out on the 2022 edition.
They’re grouped alongside South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania in Group C.
