Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Brimah Akanbi has confirmed that former coaches of the club are interested in coaching the club.
The Phobian Club are currently without a head coach after mutually parting ways with Martin Koopman after just four months in charge.
The Dutch trainer left the club due to a poor run of results in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League having replaced Slavko Matic on a two-year deal.
However, in a presser held on Monday to address issues, Alhaji Akanbi revealed that Kenichi Yatsuhashi, David Duncan, Samuel Boadu, and other former Hearts of Oak coaches are all begging to return to the club to take over the vacant coaching role.
After Koopman’s exit, assistant coach, Abdul Rahim Bashiru has been named as the interim head coach.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak who sit 8th on the Premier League log with 16 points will face their sworn rivals, Asante Kotoko in the Matchday 13 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
