Ghanaian striker Kelvin Boateng put on a spectacular show, scoring four goals and providing an assist in First Vienna FC’s 7-3 triumph over SKN St. Poelten in the Austrian Liga 2 on Friday afternoon.
The match at Stadion Hohe Warte saw Boateng open the scoring in the 6th minute, setting the tone for a dominant performance by Vienna.
Boateng’s second goal came in the 19th minute, a powerful header that left the opposition clueless. He then turned provider, setting up Christoph Monschein in the 27th minute for Vienna’s third goal.
Boateng’s brilliance continued as he scored his third and fourth goals in quick succession, putting Vienna in a commanding 5-0 lead at half-time.
St. Poelten managed to score a consolation goal in the 54th minute through Dario Tadic, but Vienna quickly responded with goals from Noah Steiner and Monschein to make it 7-1.
St. Poelten scored two late goals through Christoph Messerer and Tadic, but it was too little, too late as Boateng’s heroics had already secured a resounding victory for First Vienna FC.
