Keenan Quansah extends contract with Southport FC

Defender Keenan Quansah has extended his contract with National League North side Southport FC. Quansah’s new contract will now expire on May 2024.

The defender joined Southport on July 1st, 2022 from Stalybridge Celtic. He can play as a centre-back, right-back or central midfielder, he came through Accrington Stanley’s youth academy and has had spells at Glossop North End, Burscough, Warrington, Mossley, Hyde and Widnes.

Keenan was the Stalybridge Celtic fans player for the season for 2021-22 where he had a full season making 48 appearances and scoring twice.

The 25-year-old started his football career at Macclesfield Town FC and Accrington Stanley FC. As a junior Keenan was part of the development academies before signing at Warrington Town where he impressed earning a move as a full time pro at Accrington.

Keenan Quansah is eligible to play for England, Scotland, Ghana, and Barbados.

Southport FC is 9th on the National League North table with 36 points after 24 games.
