Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Karim Zito, is urging his players to step up their game as they face Bibiani GoldStars on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
After dropping two points to Heart of Lions in their last match, Zito expressed disappointment but emphasized that there are no excuses for not winning against GoldStars.
“Our plan was to make sure any team that comes to the Baba Yara Stadium goes home without a point,” Zito said.
He stressed that the draw against Heart of Lions shouldn’t affect their performance against GoldStars.
“Asante Kotoko drawing against Heart of Lions means there will be no excuse on Wednesday, we have to beat Bibiani Goldstars,” he added.
The match is scheduled for 19:00 GMT on Wednesday.
