Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has expressed disappointment after his side was held to a 0-0 draw by Hearts of Oak in a matchday 30 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite dominating large portions of the game, the Porcupine Warriors failed to make their chances count and had to settle for a point in the highly anticipated Super Clash.
Speaking to the media after the game, Zito said he was unhappy with his team’s wastefulness in front of goal.
“We squandered too many chances. We should have won, but we weren’t clinical enough,” Zito stated.
The interim coach, however, remained optimistic about Kotoko’s title ambitions.
“Until it’s over, we’ll keep fighting.”
The draw keeps Hearts of Oak in sixth place with 46 points, while Kotoko stay fourth with 51 points, just four behind the league leaders.
Up next, Hearts travel to face Berekum Chelsea, while Kotoko return home to take on Dreams FC.
