Karela United coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko is not happy about the performance of the referee following their defeat to King Faisal on Wednesday.
Karela took the lead through Emmanuel Boakye Owusu in the 42nd minute but King Faisal drew level one minute later after Samuel Kusi’s goal in the 43rd minute.
Abdul Latif and Benjamin Bature struck within 14 minutes to give the home side a 3-1 lead following goals in the 60th and 74th minutes but Nketiah Ishmael pulled one back for Karela to make it 3-2.
“It wasn’t a bad performance except that we gave out the goals for them to score. Unfortunately, I must say it’s a terrible day for Ghana football, my issue is that officiating was terrible because the referee did not handle the match as expected” the manager said after the match.
Karela are 15th on the League standing, just a point above the drop zone.
