Kamaldeen Sulemana played his first game for Atalanta’s reserve team, and they won 1-0 against their U23 side in a friendly match.
He officially joined Atalanta on a four-year contract until 2029 earlier in the summer after spending a year and a half competing in the Premier League for Southampton and a full season in the EFL Championship.
Sulemana is expected to add dynamism to Atalanta’s wide options and give them an extra edge in Serie A and Europe next term.
He reunites with head coach Ivan Juric, who briefly coached him for 15 games during the latter stages of last season at Southampton.
