Kamaldeen Sulemana likely to stay at Atalanta

Kamaldeen Sulemana is now increasingly expected to remain at Atalanta as the January transfer window winds down.

Earlier links to Napoli and AS Roma emerged amid concerns over his limited involvement since arriving in Bergamo.

Those possibilities have faded following decisive recruitment moves by the two Italian clubs.

Napoli, according to reports from Atalanta watcher Alessandro Giovanni Pagliarini, have settled on Brazilian winger Alisson Santos from Sporting Lisbon.

Roma have also moved in a different direction after agreeing terms to bring in Bryan Zaragoza from Celta Vigo.

Atalanta’s own squad reshaping has further altered the equation in recent days.

Nigerian attacker Ademola Lookman has completed a switch to Atletico Madrid on a four-year deal, turning down interest from Fenerbahce.

With attacking options already leaving and rivals filling their needs elsewhere, Atalanta have little incentive to part ways with Sulemana.

The situation strongly points to the Ghana international staying put beyond the midseason deadline.

Since his move from Southampton, Sulemana has logged appearances in 22 matches, contributing two goals and one assist despite restricted minutes.
