Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric says Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana still has room for development despite showing promise during pre-season.
Sulemana joined the Serie A outfit on a long-term deal from Southampton for a fee that could rise to £18m
He featured in a friendly match against Atalanta’s U-23 side as it ended 1-0 in favour of the first team.
“Today, he showed some good things, acceleration and shots.
“In my opinion, he is a guy who needs to be developed. He is not a finished player, but he really wants to grow,” Juric told Atalanta media.
The 23-year-old is seen as a potential replacement for Ademola Lookman, who has been linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer.
Atalanta will kick off their new season against Pisa on August 24.
