Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is set to join Serie A side Atalanta in a deal worth 17.5 million Euros, with an additional 4 million Euros in performance-related add-ons after successful completing his medicals on Monday in Bergamo.
The 23-year-old completed his medical examination in Italy and is expected to sign a four-year contract with an option to extend for another season.
Sulemana’s current club, Southampton, will retain a 15% sell-on clause in future transfers.
Sulemana’s move to Atalanta marks a new chapter in his career, taking him to Italian football for the first time.
He has previously played for FC Nordsjaelland, Stade Rennais, and Southampton, where he made 26 appearances in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Despite Southampton’s relegation, Sulemana’s speed, dribbling, and creativity caught Atalanta’s attention.
