Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric has praised Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana after the forward delivered a match-winning performance in their 3-0 Serie A victory over Torino.
The 22-year-old, making just his fourth league appearance since joining from Southampton, registered his first goal and assist for the Bergamo club in a display that highlighted both his attacking flair and defensive work rate.
Sulemana doubled Atalanta’s lead in the first half when his scuffed effort found its way past the Torino goalkeeper, before later setting up Nikola Krstovic for a simple tap-in to seal the result.
“They [Kamaldeen and Krstovic] came in super motivated and Kamaldeen played a great game today both technically in terms of speed and quality but also in the defensive phase which works very well,” Juric told the club’s media.
The Black Stars forward lasted 87 minutes on the pitch, responding in style after being left out of the midweek Champions League defeat to holders Paris Saint-Germain.
Sulemana’s lively showing gives Juric another potent option in attack as Atalanta aim to keep pace near the top of the Serie A table.
