German-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Julian Etse, has completed a move to SSV Ulm 1846 ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 19-year-old joins the relegated German second-tier club on a free transfer and is expected to bolster their defence.
Etse expressed his excitement, saying: “I’m happy and grateful to be signing my first professional contract with this storied club. I can’t wait to give it my all in front of the fantastic fans at the Donaustadion.”
Sporting director Markus Thiele praised the youngster, calling him a talented centre-back with qualities suited for the professional level.
He added that the club will give Etse time to adapt as he transitions into senior football.
Etse is eligible to represent Ghana at the international level due to his heritage.
His signing is seen as a long-term investment for Ulm as they look to rebuild for promotion.
