Joseph Paintsil prioritizing team glory ahead of individual accolades at LA Galaxy

Ghana international Joseph Paintsil is prioritizing team glory ahead of individual glory at LA Galaxy as they aim to win the 2024 Major League Soccer title.

How, the 26-year-old has not discounted the fact that he would love to win the individual prizes alongside the team accolades.

LA Galaxy after signing Joseph Paintsil in January from Genk in Belgium expressed hope that he would be a key player for them if they are to go on and win the title.

“It’s something that every player would love to achieve,” Paintsil said of his MVP ambitions, as quoted by mlssoccer.com website.

“Whatever happens with MVP, goals and assists and everything, first it’s the team, and the more the team succeeds, the more the player succeeds.

“Me being there and finding my name there is a plus for me and makes me happy and makes me work harder.”

Since joining in the winter transfer window, Paintsil has scored three goals and provided three assists in eight appearances for La Galaxy.
