Ghanaian attacker Joseph Paintsil is in race for the 2022/23 Ebony shoe award along with his Genk teammate Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye.
The Ebony shoe is a special award instituted in 1992 to honor players of African origin who play in Belgium.
Paintsil has scored 15 goals and provided 14 assists in the league while Ndayishimiye who is Burundian and Rwandan parentage has scored 8 and set up 23 others.
The only Ghanaian to win the award was Eric Addo in 1998.
