Jordan Ayew will captain Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports stadium today.
The Crystal Palace forward has been handed the responsibility in the absence of Andre Ayew who starts on the bench. Deputy captains Thomas Partey and Daniel Amartey are also not available for selection due to injury.
In post is Lawrence Ati Zigi with Alidu Seidu, Baba Abdul Rahman, Alexander Djiku and Joseph Aidoo forming the back line.
Elisha Owusi makes his first start since the international friendly against Switzerland in November last year. He will partner Abdul Salis Samed in the midfield while Osman Bukari and Jordan operate on the wings.
Inaki Williams leads the line with Mohammed Kudus to operate behind him.
Ghana are in need of a win to top Group E – and also pick a ticket for the Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023 in January next year.
The game is scheduled for 4pm kick off at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
