Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew found the net, but his effort was not enough as Leicester City suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the English Premier League at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Chelsea opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Nicolas Jackson with a fine effort.
In the second half, Enzo Fernandez doubled Chelsea’s advantage with a goal in the 75th minute.
Leicester City, however, were handed a lifeline when Bobby Reid was brought down in the penalty box, earning a penalty.
Jordan stepped up confidently and converted the spot kick, reducing the deficit for Leicester.
Despite the striker’s efforts, the Foxes were unable to find an equalizer, ultimately falling short in their bid for a comeback.
The defeat leaves Leicester City in 16th place while Chelsea jump into third.
