Jordan Ayew has expressed his disappointment following Crystal Palace 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday evening.
The Ghanaian forward was the provider after his dangerous cross to the back post was met by Odsonne Édouard to give the hosts an early lead at the Selhurst Park
But a controversial equalizer by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on his Premier League return and a stunning 90th minute strike by Conor Gallagher handed Graham Potter his first win as Chelsea boss.
That cruel late goal hands Palace their fifth consecutive home Head-to-Head defeat. Meanwhile, Chelsea claim their first back-to-back PL wins of the season, having last beaten West Ham United almost a month ago under Thomas Tuchel.
“Frustration, everyone is frustrated,” Ayew said after the game. “This is not the first time we have conceded in the last minute.
“I think we were close. We deserved at least a point, but we are still a young team. We need to improve in a lot of things. We are improving but we need to improve quickly because the Premier League is ruthless.
“We did well, we controlled the game. It was a nice game for the spectator, but for us it’s a positive performance but it’s not the result we wanted. There is something missing, and we need to work hard.”
