Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew has become the joint-fourth most capped player for the team with 91 appearances.
The 31-year-old is tied with former Ghana right-back John Paintsil, after helping the country beat Central African Republic in Kumasi on Thursday night.
Jordan has netted 19 times for Ghana since his debut in 2010.
“I’m surprised, I didn’t even know. [It] is a proud moment, it’s an achievement and you know I’m still young and I have to keep going,” He said at the post match conference.
“I feel fit, I feel strong and I know that I still have more years to come.
“It’s a blessing I was able to start for the national team very early. It’s a positive thing and I just want to thank all the managers who were here in the past and even now.”
Jordan captained Ghana in their win over CAR to ultimately book a place at next year’s AFCON in Ivory Coast.
