Jonas Adjetey is on the verge of joining VfL Wolfsburg from FC Basel, with the Bundesliga club reportedly close to agreeing a deal worth around €10m.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian defender has been a key player for Basel, earning 7 caps for Ghana and making 15 Super League appearances this season.
Adjetey had attracted interest from several European clubs, including Bologna, Wolverhampton Wanderers, RC Lens, and Turkish clubs, but Wolfsburg has emerged as the frontrunner.
The defender is expected to sign a long-term contract with the German club.
A strong performer in the Swiss Super League, Adjetey has showcased his composure, tactical awareness, and ball-playing abilities, making him an attractive prospect for Wolfsburg.
His move comes as the club looks to strengthen its defense, having struggled with injuries and inconsistency at the back.
