John Yeboah grabbed an assist in Rakow Czestochowa’s 2-1 defeat to Gornik Zabrze in the Polish Ekstraklasa.
John Yeboah came on in the 62nd minute to replace Sonny Kittel at the Stadion im. Ernesta Pohla.
The Medalik squad began the contest fiercely, looking for chances and playing under pressure.
The away side created the first dangerous opportunity in the 3rd minute. Ante Crnac passed the ball to Bartosz Nowak, but Nowak’s shot was saved by Daniel Bielica, Górnik’s goalkeeper.
Daisuke Yokota opened the scoring 7 minutes later with a left-footed shot into our net. In the 22nd minute, the Japanese scored again. This time with a ground shot from close the penalty area line.
The score remained unchanged, and Raków was on a quest to make up for two goals conceded in the second half.
In the 82nd minute, Ante Crnac scored the consolation goal for the away side with a left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Ante Crnac’s goal was assisted by John Yeboah.
Rakow will take on Widzew Lodz in their next league game.
