Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) president John Ansah has revealed plans to introduce a new competition ; the Regional Ministers Cup as part of his broader vision to strengthen grassroots football across the country.

Speaking during his nationwide tour, Ansah said the tournament is next on his agenda following the successful establishment of the President’s Cup.

“We are working to introduce the Regional Ministers Cup and I have been touring all 16 regions. That’s my agenda after the President’s Cup has been established,” Ansah said.

The proposed tournament will see clubs from each of Ghana’s 16 regions compete in a bid to unearth talent and foster local football pride. Ansah’s regional tour signals a hands-on approach to engaging stakeholders ahead of the official launch.
