American international of Ghanaian descent Joseph Claude-Gyau has returned to action for Borussia Dortmund after recovering from injury.Â
The 22-year-old torn his lateral meniscus and a bone bruise in mid-October and was ruled out for up to six weeks but he returned to action last week, playing in Dortmund II’s 0-0 with Rot-Weiß Erfurt.
Gyau, a grandson of Ghana legend Nana Agyeman Gyau, suffered the injury while on international duty with the United States of America.
Gyau was bidding his time through the ranks at Dortmund and was becoming a first team regular for Jurgen Klopp’s side until he suffered the injury.
Though Gyau has resumed with the Dortmund II squad in the Liga 3, he could well return to the first team squad.
