Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid is in touch with Thomas Partey of Arsenal as the Gunners compete with Manchester United and Chelsea to sign the Portugal star according to the Athletic.
Felix joined the club for almost £130 million four years ago, but the attacker hasn’t lived up to his potential in Madrid and hasn’t been a good fit for Simeone’s squad.
As Atletico looks to sell the striker, Felix’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has made a number of Premier League teams a proposal for his client.
Chelsea, United, and Arsenal have all expressed early interest, but Manchester City and Liverpool have turned down the chance.
Felix will have to decide who he wants to join when the Spanish club accepts a fee, and the Athletic claim that Arsenal has a trump card in Partey.
Before Felix moved to Arsenal in 2020, the Black Stars midfielder and Felix were club teammates, and the two have remained friends ever since.
