Black Stars head coach Chris Houghton has handed defender Jerome Opoku a late call up to the team for their international friendlies against Mexico and the USA this month.
The 24-year-old has been brought in to replace the injured Alexander Djiku.
He is expected to join the Black Stars team on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in the United States.
Currently on loan at İstanbul Başakşehir in Turkey from Portuguese side Arouca, the former Fulham defender brings his skills to the squad.
Ghana will face Mexico on Saturday, October 14, at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by a match against the United States of America on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
