Former Ghana International Augustin Arhinful suggests that Chris Hughton should hand a call-up to Jeffrey Schlupp for the left-back position within the Black Stars team.
Arhinful asserts that Ghana’s primary issue lies in the left-back spot and that Crystal Palace’s defender, Schlupp, is the sole player capable of fulfilling that role to the required standard.
“Currently, Black Stars major problem is the left back, Chris Hughton must act on it and solve that problem,”Arhinful told Sunyani based Sompa fm.
“Jeffrey Schlupp is the only player to occupy that position for now, he can play it well, though he couldn’t make the World Cup squad but Chris Hughton should go to him and convince him to come back to the team.”
The 30-year-old defender has featured eight times for Crystal Palace in the English Premier league campaign.
