Jean-Michel Aulas does not give up his jewel so easily. Three weeks after the formalization of the sale of Olympique Lyonnais to John Textor, the president of OL reaffirmed his wish to participate in the evolution of the club in an interview with the newspaper the team. And this, despite his new status as non-owner president.

“I remain president, but also a shareholder (the Holnest family holding company retains a little over 8% of the capital): I am always interested in economic life, which is the real life of the club. (…) In the current state of things, I felt that John did not want to be on the front line too quickly. I went to shake hands with all the players today (Friday) and, by addressing them, I wanted to remind them that I was still the boss. I do not say that out of boastfulness, but to show my total involvement. From near or far, Jean-Michel Aulas will always have an eye on his foal.
