Japan proved to be too strong for Ghana as they eased past the Black Queens 4-0 in an international friendly.

Nora Hauptle’s side suffered a major setback with Captain Portia Boakye receiving marching orders in the 23rd minute after poor challenge.

Mina Tanaka opend the scoring account in the 51st minute, giving the host advantage before Maika Hamano doubled the tally in the 65th minute.

The Nadeshiko continue dominating play till Fujino Aoba got the third goal and Ueki Riko sealed the victory.

Ghana threw everything for a consolation goal including Evelyn Badu who came close but to no avail.

Coach Nora Hauptle will continue assessing her team during the preparation towards the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco next year.
