Ivorian striker Ahmed Toure has indicated his short dalliance with Hearts of Oak could well come to an end should the Phobians further delay in meeting his demands.Â
The 27-year-old has reportedly travelled to Kumasi ahead of a sensational return to rivals Asante Kotoko though he had trained and featured and scored in an off-season tournament for Hearts of Oak.
“I have always told Hearts they are the first option but for how long would I have to keep waiting knowing very well that the transfer window is only two weeks away from closure,” he said.
Toure has headlined the Ghanaian transfer window which is a few weeks away from closure following his arrival at Hearts and wowing fans with dazzling displays in a double game against Lions.
Despite expressing his readiness to sign for Hearts, Toure had told teeming fans who gave him a strong backing in the GHALCA Top-Four not to blame him if he swerves them to sign for a different club.
“I will plead with the Hearts fans not to blame me in anyway if I should not join the club. I was hoping all issues surrounding my move would have been completed earlier so I will start my life at Hearts.
But things have not really worked as fast as I had wanted but I still hope they, Hearts, will move a bit faster so we can conclude the deal before close of Monday.”
