Former Liverpool and England striker Michael Owen has lauded Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew following his five star performance in a game against Everton on Monday

Ayew showcase his goalscoring prowess netting a goal as Crystal Palace played a 1-1 away to Everton at the Godison Park

The 32 year old scored the game’s opening goal in the 66th minute with a well-placed strike into the right side of the post.

However, Palace conceded in the 84th minute to miss out on all three points as The Eagles continue to battle against dropping into the relegation zone.

“Ayew gets the ball out of his feet and it’s just a wonderful strike from 20 yards out and it’s a lovely strike,”Owen stated in a post match discussion.

“There’s nothing much the keeper can do about that. The ball just drops to Ayew and it’s a great strike.”

Jordan has played 23 games for Crystal Palace this season and scored three goals with three assists.
