Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has cautioned his players to expect a difficult test when they face Berekum Chelsea this weekend in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors welcome the Blues to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 11, in a Week 18 fixture of the 2025/26 season.

Kotoko head into the match on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 victory over King Faisal in the MTN FA Cup on Wednesday, a result that secured their place in the Round of 16. Despite the win, Zito was quick to shift attention to the league encounter.

“We are playing another game against Chelsea on Sunday, which is another tough match for us,” Zito said in his post-match interview with AKSC Media.

The Kotoko boss stressed that his side will need maximum concentration and commitment to secure all three points at home.

Sunday’s encounter between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm in Kumasi, with both sides eager to strengthen their league positions.
