It was important we did not lose against Bechem United – Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo

Asante Kotoko assistant coach, David Ocloo, has lauded his players for their hard-fought point against Bechem United.

In the build-up to the matchday 24 games at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, the Porcupine Warriors were aiming to secure a win after recording just a win in six games.

However, the game ended goalless which has eased the pressure on the technical team.

Speaking after the game, Ocloo said he was satisfied with his lads avoiding another loss by recording the hard-fought point.

“To me, our previous games we played very well but we couldn’t score. To me, the previous games we played well better than this…but with this game, the only difference is they (the players) were very disciplined defensively,” he said.

“This particular match, we did not create enough chances but the most important thing is we getting a point here,” he added.

Kotoko now sit 8th on the Premier League log with 33 points and will host  Nsoatreman FC at the Bara Stadium on Thursday with kick-off scheduled at 18:00GMT.
