Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee member James Kwesi Appiah says the budding relationship between the Porcupine Warriors and South African giants Kaizer Chiefs should extend beyond the upcoming Toyota Cup.
Speaking at a ceremony at KNUST to welcome a Chiefs delegation ahead of the July 28 friendly, Appiah expressed his optimism about sustained collaboration.
“I believe my players here are not going to let me down. It’s; the Toyota Cup game and going to be very entertaining,” he said. “I hope that we continue this relationship because it shouldn’t be a one-year thing.”
The friendly in South Africa is part of efforts to revive pan-African club ties through cultural and competitive exchanges, with Chiefs legend Siyabonga Nomvethe leading the visiting team to Ghana.
