The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the Ismailia-Suez Canal Stadium will host the first-leg encounter between Egypt and Ghana in the qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The match is slated for Wednesday, October 23, 2025, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 local time.
The fixture is expected to serve up an intense battle as both sides chase an early lead in the race to secure qualification for the tournament in Morocco.
Ghana’s Black Queens, led by head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, will enter the contest full of confidence after claiming a bronze medal in the previous edition of the competition.
The Queens will hope to deliver a strong performance away from home before hosting the decisive return leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.
