Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey is line for a called up for the country’s world cup double header against Lesotho and Zambia next month, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The 22-year-old former Ghana Under-17 has been in devastating form for Swiss top flight side Servette this term where he has scored some crucial goals for the side.
Reports in the local media on Thursday claim Yartey will be drafted into the team as a replacement for injured Andre Ayew.
He is touted as a carbon copy of the Marseille star as he commands an impressive work rate.
Ayew has been ruled out of the World cup qualifiers against minnows Lesotho and African Champions Zambia in June after undergoing surgery on his troublesome shoulder injury.
