On Saturday afternoon, Inter hosts Monza at the Giuseppe Meazza in a massive game for the home sides’ chances of landing a Champions League spot for next season.

The Nerazzurri’s chances of landing a Champions League spot for next season have turned for the worse of late. In fact, the men from Milan head into this game on the back of a four-match winless run in the Italian top flight.

A 1-1 weekend draw against Salernitana ended a three-match losing streak for Inter in Serie A.

Inter’s recent underwhelming form has seen them slip to fifth place in the Serie A table, a point behind arch-rivals Milan, who occupy the final Champions League berth in the Italian top flight.

The Nerazzurri’s usually strong home form has been inconsistent of late in Serie A, as they have won three and lost three of their previous six home matches in the Italian top flight, including suffering back-to-back home defeats against Juventus and Fiorentina.

The visitors look to be relatively secure in 13th place in the Serie A table, as they are 13 points clear of the relegation zone. However, Monza’s form has been slightly unconvincing of late, as they are winless in four matches in Serie A.

In fact, they have won just once in their last seven league outings.

Their recent Serie A games have been relatively low-scoring, too, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their previous eight matches in the Italian top flight.

Monza has failed to win in their last three away games in Serie A but has also lost just once in their previous seven league matches on their travels.
