Inter Milan and Porto are back in Champions League action this week with the Italian giants heading into this one in a much better place than they were in the group stages as Porto continue to hunt down Benfica in the Primeira Liga.
Porto have been trailing Benfica in the league for some time now. The club are, however, heading into this game off the back of winning the past 10 games and only letting go of points once in 2023 so far – this came in a 0-0 draw with Casa Pia at the start of January.

The Portuguese giants have since gone on to defeat Sporting Lisbon 2-0 in the Tac da Liga and get within four of Benfica now.
In fact, the club have now won 16 games and lost only twice in the league, alongside three defeats. Porto have also let in just 12 goals, which is one fewer than the league leaders, as they’ve scored 48 of their own too.
In their group stage, Porto won four and lost two, as they finished above Club Brugge, Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid.
Last weekend, Sérgio Conceição’s men defeated Rio Ave in the league, as Toni Martinez scored the game’s only goal.
As for Inter, they returned to the win column with a 3-1 win over Udinese last time out. Simeone Inzaghi’s men scored twice later on in the game, as Romelu Lukaku missed a penalty before scoring the retake. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lautaro Martinez also scored a goal each.
It’s been a sensational 2023 for Inter so far, and although a title challenge is far from unlikely because of Napoli’s gap at the top, they have still beaten the Naples side, defeated Inter Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana final, and also beaten Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Inzaghi’s side are now on 15 wins and four clear of Roma in second, with them also letting in 27 goals and scoring 44 of their own. Back in the group stages, Inter finished second and only three points above Barcelona in Group C, while also finishing eight behind Bayern Munich.
In fact, it was that excellent 1-0 win over Barcelona at the San Siro that ended up being the difference, as Inter also drew with Barcelona in a stunning game that saw three goals in the last 10 minutes.
Forebet predicts a win for Inter at home here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
