The Asante Kotoko rightback was back in action for the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday in the Glo Premier League, but will be playing in the Swiss League next season. The completion of the deal marks another fine chapter in a wonderful year for Inkoom, who has already won the Africa Youth Championships with Ghana and made his competitive senior debut in the same year. Yet nothing tops the switch to Basle for the former Sekondi Hasaacas man. “It has been wonderful so far and I could not have asked for more. Making my senior debut for the Black Stars was special, but this deal to play in Switzerland is a dream come true,” he tells KickOffGhana.com. Inkoom was linked with many clubs before he settled on Basle last week and says he made his choice based on the opportunities available at the club. “I chose them because they develop a lot of talent and I can move forward from here.” Inkoom admits the upcoming World Youth Championships in Egypt could have boosted his market value, but he insists he had to take his chance now.
