The Asante Kotoko player donated US$400 from his winning bonus to help in the upkeep of the children at the institution.
The director of the orphanage Philomena Yeboue received the cash at the Black Stars team hotel where they are participating in the maiden African Nations Championship.
Inkoom says he will continue to support orphans, as he did at the African Youth Championship in Rwanda last month.
“It has always been my wish to be in the position to help people, especially orphans,” Inkoom told KickOffGhana.com.
“Orphans hold a special place in my heart and as we have received some cash from the authorities I think I should also help out others.
“This amount is not huge, but I hope it can help in a small way to help the children.”
Yeboue thanked the Ghana defender for thinking about the less privileged and says others should emulate the youngster.
“I am touched that even as Inkoom is not a big superstar, he has thought about the less privileged,” Yeboue told KickOffGhana.com.
“He has set a big example for other to follow because he doesn’t earn much, but he has found the intellect to give back.
“We pray to God that He makes him bigger than he is now, as this money will go a long way to help our upkeep of the children.”
Inkoom could not travel to meet the children at the orphanage because of commitments at the Black Stars camp
He donated the money to the Black Stars team hotel because they were due to train in the morning.
