Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will miss Saturday’s English Premier League game against Ipswich Town due to a groin injury, confirmed by manager Steve Cooper.
Issahaku is suffering from a groin injury which kept him out of the Foxes’ Carabao Cup match against Manchester United, which ended in a 5-2 defeat.
“You pick a team that you think is the best fit to deliver a plan to win a game. That doesn’t necessarily mean the players who played last night won’t play again at the weekend or vice versa. We’ve picked up a couple of knocks in the week.”
“Abdul was not available for the game last night through a groin [issue]. We had a few enforced changes last night but just because we went one way last night, it doesn’t mean we won’t go a certain way at the weekend,” he added.
The former Dreams FC player has only played nine games in the Premier League, with two assists.
His side currently sits in 15th place in the league table, with nine points.
