The Categoria A carries on this international break with Independiente Santa Fe set to welcome Deportivo Cali to the El Campin Stadium with just three points keeping the two adrift from one another after eight games so far in the league.

class=”os_Neither side has impressed in the early stage of this Categoria Primera A season so far, but Sante Fe is currently three clear of Deportivo.

class=”os_This comes after winning two games, losing two and drawing four. At the same time, however, they head into this game with nine goals let in and nine goals conceded too.

This period also marks a very busy schedule for these two clubs, with games set to come every three days over the next week and a bit.

Sante Fe did draw 1-1 with Junior last weekend, as Wilfrido De La Rosa scored an equaliser just before the end of the first half in what was the club’s only shot on target that day.

Prior to this, Santa Fe also defeated America de Cali 2-0 and Rionegro Aguilas 2-1 away from home and it marks a three-game unbeaten run for them this season.

Their losses in the Categoria Primera A have come against Envigado 3-2 away from home and to Deportivo Pasto 2-0 away from home as well.

A win here could send the club up into as high as fifth if other results go their way, but they will be asking for dropped points from at least six different clubs during this gameweek.

However, with them finishing 10th last year, the season has so far started out just like it did last campaign.

As for Deportivo, they sit right at the bottom of the table in this one having now not won a game in the past five outings.

This has seen them lose 1-0 to Deportivo Pereira, 2-0 to Millonarios, and draw with Atletico Bucaramanga and Leones before their recent 2-1 defeat to Deportivo Pasto.

The clubs only win in the league has so far come in a thrilling 2-1 victory over Deportes Tolima that saw Gustavo Ramirez score an equalising penalty, as Adrian Parra Osorio scored the winning goal three minutes from time.

Deportivo had 15 shots on target that day from seven efforts and it has so far been their only positive performance this campaign.

Forebet predicts another win for Sante Fe in this one and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
