Inaki Williams wins La Liga African MVP award for second successive season

Iñaki Williams has been named the 2024/25 Sporty La Liga MVP, winning the award for the second time in a row.

The Ghanaian striker, who plays for Athletic Bilbao, beat out 19 other nominees, including Abdul Mumin, Nicolas Pepe, and several other African players.

Williams had an impressive season, making 34 appearances and scoring six goals for his club.

He also excelled in the UEFA Europa League, helping Athletic Bilbao reach the semi-finals and secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League.

Williams’ contributions to his team were instrumental in their success, and his individual performance earned him the MVP award.
