Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams took part in his first pre-2023 Africa Cup of Nations training on Friday evening after arriving in camp earlier in the day.
Inaki Williams has finally joined the Black Stars camp in Kumasi to prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations after his club declared him unwell and his arrival was delayed by three days.
The 29-year-old Bilbao born forward arrived in Accra on Thursday night before joining his Black Stars teammates in Kumasi on Friday morning.
He took part in the team’s fourth training session which happened at the gym after the first three sessions took place on the pitch at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The 29-year-old has already missed the first three training sessions of the team and his arrival will be a boost for the team’s preparations for the tournament set to start in 8 days.
The in-form striker is expected to be instrumental in Ghana’s attack at the tournament as the Black Stars seek to end a 42-year wait for the illusive title.
