Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu Adams is patiently waiting for his return into the national team fold.

The center-back was not part of the 29-man squad called by Black Stars coach Otto Addo for the friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua this month.

The 27 year old has rediscovered his form at FC Basel this season following a disappointing campaign in Germany with TSG Hoffenheim, where he struggled for game time, making just three appearances last season.

Several eye-brows were raised following his exclusion from the latest Ghana squad. However, Kasim is remaining grounded, insisting he is ready to wait for his time.

“It’s everybody’s dream to play in the World Cup or to play in bigger competitions like Champions League, World Cup and stuff.

“I’m not in a rush but when the time comes I will be so grateful to join the team and then play at the World Cup.
“Of course I’m a Ghanaian, I’ve played before and I will always be happy to play again in the national team.
“Of course it’s World Cup and everybody wants to play as well so when the time comes, when I keep on playing in my team, when the time comes, when they call me, I will, I will be back again to play for the national team.” Kassim Nuhu told Radio Gold Talk Sport.

Ghana face Brazil on Friday, September 23, at Stade Oceane in Le Harve- France before taking on Nicaragua three days later at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Spain.

Both matches forms as part of the team’s preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
