New Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Aziz Haruna has expressed his readiness to help the club achieve its ambition in Africa after signing for Kotoko.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper, formerly of Bechem United, sees this move as a significant career milestone.
“I’m honoured to join a club with such a rich history and passionate supporters,” Haruna said to the club’s media.
“I’m ready to give my best and help the team achieve its objectives, both in the league and in Africa.”Haruna’s arrival follows Kotoko’s decision not to renew the contract of Frederick Asare.
With five seasons of experience at Bechem United, where he made 82 league appearances, Haruna brings stability and expertise to Kotoko’s goal.
The Porcupine Warriors finished third in the league last season and won the MTN FA Cup, qualifying them for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
As Kotoko rebuilds their squad for their return to continental football, Haruna’s signing is a boost to the team’s ambitions.
He is the fifth new recruit in the current transfer window, and his commitment to helping the team succeed is evident.
