I’m pleased to earn my first Ghana call-up – Nathaniel Adjei

FC Lorient’s Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei has revealed that he is pleased to earn his first senior Ghana call up.

The 21-year-old center-back has been included in Otto Addo’s squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda during the March international break.

Known for his versatility and ability to play various positions in the backline, Adjei has shown consistency in his performances, notably during his time at Hammarby in the Swedish league before his transfer to Lorient in Ligue 1 in January.

In an interview with 3 Sports, the 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations champion shared his excitement about the opportunity to represent the Black Stars, stating, “I have been working hard, and I am pleased.”

Ghana is set to face Nigeria on March 22, followed by a match against Uganda four days later in Morocco.

Adjei would be hoping to earn his debut in that game and possibly convince the technical team to hand him future call-ups.
