Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has commended his players for their determination after securing a 1–0 victory over Swedru All Blacks in their Ghana Premier League Week 7 clash on Sunday.
Playing at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa, Medeama endured a frustrating first half, with defender Kamaradini Mamudu missing a penalty. However, the centre-back redeemed himself in the second half, scoring the decisive goal to hand the league leaders all three points.
Speaking after the match, Tanko admitted that his team’s first-half performance was below their usual standards but praised their resilience.
“It was a really tough game, and I must admit this was the worst first half we’ve played since I came here,” he said. “But the most important thing is the three points. The boys fought hard, and I have to congratulate them for that.”
The victory keeps Medeama SC at the top of the Ghana Premier League table with 16 points after Week 7, as they continue their strong start to the 2025/26 campaign.
