Hearts of Oak striker Ibrahim Musah has been called up into the Local Black Stars for next month’s international friendly against Japan, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.
The youngster is on a purple patch of form after scoring three goals in two matches in the Ghana Premier League.
Ibrahim’s scoring form saw him climb off the bench to bag a brace for Hearts who clawed from two down to win 3-2 against Inter Allies in Tema.
Last week, he scored the consolation goal in the club’s 3-1 shock defeat to Wa All Stars at home.
Local Black Stars head coach Maxwell Konadu has been monitoring the budding talent and wants to further assess him in the national team.
“What this means to me is that my hard work at Hearts has been recognized indicating that whatever I have gone through at Hearts has been very beneficial to my career,” Musah told Hearts News.
“I must continue to work hard to improve upon everything I do so as a striker I can earn the confidence of the coaches to earn a regular place in the team.
“This is additional responsibility which will come with extra hard work to enable me succeed in the national team.”
