On Monday night, struggling Ibiza hosts FC Andorra in the Spanish Segunda Division as the hosts look to move closer to safety and visitors closer to the promotion play-off berths.

The Islanders are stuck in the Segunda relegation zone, five points adrift of the safety of 18th place in the standings. They are also just a point off the bottom of the table.

Ibiza head into this clash on the back of an eight-game winless run in the Spanish second tier, six of which have resulted in defeat.

Anquela’s team has struggled in front of goal, failing to score in five of their previous eight matches in the Segunda Division.

However, at the other end of the pitch, no team in the Spanish second tier has conceded more goals this season than their tally of 24 goals.

Ibiza’s recent home form has not helped their chances of escaping the drop zone, as they have failed to win in four home games in the Segunda, having suffered three defeats.

The visitors enter this clash eying a place in the Segunda play-off spots, as they are currently just a point outside the league’s top six.

A run of three wins in their last four league games has certainly helped their chances of breaking into the top six in the near future.

Eder Sarabia’s team has been highly effective at both ends of the pitch of late, as they have scored at least two goals in all three of those recent wins, having also kept three clean sheets.

Considering Ibiza’s struggles in front of goal, that stellar defensive run could continue in this game.

What does Forebet predict?

Forebet predicts that FC Andorra will add to Ibiza’s recent poor results by recording a victory in a low-scoring encounter.
